Vladimir Slišković, son of Hajduk Split legend Blaž Slišković, declined to work as an assistant to Dejan Stanković at Spartak Moscow.
The son of the famous Yugoslav footballer Blaž Slišković, Vladimir Slišković, has refused to remain at Spartak Moscow following the arrival of former Red Star player and coach Dejan Stanković.
Vladimir Slišković declined the opportunity to be an assistant to Dejan Stanković at Spartak Moscow. Former Red Star footballer and coach Dejan Stanković, after leaving Hungary's Ferencváros, has been appointed as the new head coach of the Moscow giant. The Russian Premier League is Stanković's new challenge, but he will first need to form a new coaching staff as the son of the former Yugoslav international refused to collaborate with him despite having a contract with the club.
Vladimir Slišković informed Spartak's management that he would be leaving Moscow. There were no issues with his departure. Vladimir Slišković is the son of Blaž Slišković, the legendary footballer of Velež, Hajduk, Torino, and once one of the best players in Yugoslavia. Vladimir Slišković did not achieve the same playing career as his father Blaž and quickly transitioned into coaching.
Slišković served as an interim coach at the end of the last season for Spartak Moscow. However, after Dejan Stanković's appointment as the head coach, he became disillusioned and decided to leave the club where he had worked for the past two years.
Allegedly, Vladimir Slišković demanded that his salary as an assistant coach be almost the same as Dejan Stanković's salary.
