Yesterday, Arsenal hosted Bayer Leverkusen in a friendly match. The game was a great success for the home team, with the Gunners winning 4-1.
The match also featured former Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka, now playing for Leverkusen. Arsenal gave him a special welcome on the scoreboard, and the 31-year-old Swiss player received a standing ovation from the entire stadium when he was substituted.
Xhaka played for Arsenal from 2016 to 2023, making 297 appearances, scoring 23 goals, and providing 29 assists during his tenure.
