Haris Hajradinović has been named in the Turkish Super Lig Team of the Season after an outstanding performance for Kasımpaşa. Surprisingly, Edin Džeko, despite being the second top scorer, did not make the cut.

The Turkish Super Lig has concluded with Galatasaray clinching the title with 102 points, while Fenerbahçe, featuring Edin Džeko, finished second with 99 points. Kasımpaşa secured fifth place with 56 points, earning a spot in European competitions. A key player in their success was the brilliant Bosnian midfielder, Haris Hajradinović.

Hajradinović finished the season as the second-highest assist provider, tied with Dušan Tadić at 14 assists, just behind Dries Mertens with 16. Additionally, he contributed five goals, earning a well-deserved spot in the Team of the Season according to Opta.

Despite being the second top scorer in the league with 21 goals and three assists, Edin Džeko did not make it into the Team of the Season. Mauro Icardi, who scored 25 goals, provided eight assists, and won the title with Galatasaray, was chosen as the top striker.

Ideal Team of the Season (4-2-1-2-1 Formation):

  • Goalkeeper: Muslera (Galatasaray)
  • Defenders: Djiku (Fenerbahçe), Kadioglu (Fenerbahçe), Yilmaz (Galatasaray), Nelsson (Galatasaray)
  • Midfielders: Haris Hajradinović (Kasımpaşa), Torreira (Galatasaray)
  • Attacking Midfielders: Mertens (Galatasaray)
  • Wingers: Tadić (Fenerbahçe), Aydin (Alanyaspor)
  • Striker: Icardi (Galatasaray)

It is truly commendable to see Haris Hajradinović among the stars of Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, who dominated the Turkish league this season. His inclusion is thoroughly deserved. Having recently returned to the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, his current form suggests he will become a key player for the national side.

This summer, Hajradinović is likely to secure a significant transfer, with Serie A and the Premier League being potential destinations. The upcoming friendly matches for Bosnia and Herzegovina in England and Italy could further bolster his reputation.

Additionally, Dal Varešanović had an impressive season in Turkey with nine goals and two assists for Rizespor. Edin Višća scored five goals and provided 10 assists for Trabzonspor. Riad Bajić netted four goals for Ankaragücü, while Dario Šarić scored three for Antalyaspor. Armin Hodžić also scored once for Hatayspor.

Nihad Mujakić recorded one goal and one assist for Ankaragücü, and Amir Hadžiahmetović tallied four assists for Beşiktaş before suffering a severe knee injury.
