Dejan Stanković has finally arrived in Moscow! The Serbian coach has been unveiled as the new head coach of Spartak Moscow.
The former coach of Red Star Belgrade, Sampdoria, and Ferencváros has taken up his new role in the Russian capital.
After winning the title in Hungary, the former Red Star Belgrade star decided to move to Russia. Upon his arrival, the Moscow club posted a video on social media.
"I have arrived and am ready to work. See you soon," said Stanković.
The Serbian coach has already outlined some transfer window desires. His primary task is to bring in a quality center forward. Reports suggest that an offer has been sent from Moscow to Istanbul for Turkish international Kerem Aktürkoğlu. The forward is on his way out of Galatasaray.
Last season, Spartak finished fifth in the Russian Premier League.
