Ahmed Fatouh, a member of the Egyptian national football team and a player for Zamalek, one of Egypt's most prominent clubs, was involved in a serious incident that resulted in the death of a police officer. The accident occurred while Fatouh was driving towards Cairo, with the officer reportedly dying on the spot.
Local media reports indicate that tests revealed the presence of cannabinoids in Fatouh's blood, raising suspicions that the 26-year-old footballer may have been under the influence of hashish at the time of the accident. However, these claims have not yet been officially confirmed by the police.
Fatouh, who has made 28 appearances for the Egyptian national team, has spent the majority of his professional career with Zamalek.
