Pep Guardiola is reportedly moving out of his £8.5m mansion in Barcelona following a surprise separation from his wife, Cristina Serra, after 30 years together.

Pep Guardiola, the iconic Manchester City manager, is expected to vacate his £8.5million family home in Barcelona after news broke of his separation from his long-time partner Cristina Serra. Spanish reports on Monday evening revealed that the couple, who have been together for three decades and share three children, have decided to go their separate ways.

The £8.5million mansion, situated in one of Barcelona’s most exclusive neighborhoods, has been Guardiola’s base during his visits to the Catalan capital. Cristina is reportedly planning to remain in the property, which boasts four stories, a large swimming pool, and a total area of over 22,000 square feet. Guardiola purchased the mansion from a Russian businessman in early 2021, and speculation at the time suggested it might signal a potential return to FC Barcelona.

Despite the couple’s split, Spanish journalist Lorena Vazquez has insisted that the breakup was amicable and not influenced by any third party. Vazquez, part of the respected journalist duo known as *Mamarazzis*, said, “It's been a carefully-considered decision the couple discussed over several months. They continue to have a cordial and affectionate relationship. No-one else is involved. There are no third parties. We are going to carry on seeing them together.”

Vazquez added that the couple managed to keep the separation private, saying, "They weren't expecting any journalists or media outlets would confirm this break-up but I can assure you they're living apart and only a small handful of people knew about this."

Currently, Guardiola spends most of his time in Manchester, where he resides in the Deansgate CitySuites, a high-end apartment complex in the heart of the city. His Manchester home consists of a two-bedroom flat in the 16-storey building, which houses 237 privately-owned apartments, each equipped with modern kitchens and spacious living areas.

The separation comes after years of speculation about Guardiola’s life outside football. Despite moving back to Barcelona in 2021, Cristina had chosen to stay at their newly-acquired mansion while Pep continued managing Manchester City. Reports suggest that the couple spent Christmas together with their children Maria (24), Marius (22), and Valentina (17), but were already living separately.

With his family home now occupied by Cristina, it remains uncertain where Guardiola will stay during future trips to Barcelona. However, those close to the couple have indicated that the pair remains on good terms, prioritizing their children and maintaining a friendly relationship despite their decision to live apart.
