Al Jazira is determined to sign Partizan's top striker Saldanha, offering him a lucrative contract. However, Partizan holds out for a higher transfer fee.
Al Jazira from the United Arab Emirates is keen on acquiring Partizan's top striker Saldanha, backed by the City Football Group, aiming to control the Brazilian talent should he reach higher levels in the future. Partizan has already rejected two offers, but the Arabs remain persistent. They have managed to secure an agreement with the player on personal terms, and now need to improve their financial offer to the Serbian club to finalize the transfer.
Specifically, Saldanha has agreed to a three-year contract with Al Jazira, guaranteeing him an annual net salary of €2,000,000. This totals €6,000,000 over three competitive seasons, plus bonuses for personal performance and trophies won.
For Partizan, Al Jazira initially offered €4,800,000 as a transfer fee, plus €1,000,000 in achievable bonuses. However, Partizan swiftly rejected this and a subsequent offer that totaled around €6,500,000, believing the player is worth more.
Negotiations paused briefly, but resumed ahead of the return leg against Dynamo Kyiv, prompting the player's agent to travel to Belgrade to facilitate the transfer. The day before the match with the Ukrainians, they visited the stadium together, where Partizan set the minimum transfer fee at €8,000,000 with bonuses included.
Saldanha played in the match against Dynamo, but was not in the squad for the game against Železničar from Pančevo, indicating that the transfer is nearing completion. Al Jazira just needs to meet the financial demands to secure the striker's signature, who is evidently bidding farewell to Partizan.
