Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is set for a move to PSG as Napoli nears an agreement with the French club for a deal worth just under €80 million.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia appears just steps away from a move to Paris Saint-Germain, with the Georgian winger already agreeing personal terms with the French champions. The final hurdle remains PSG’s agreement with Napoli, with intense negotiations taking place on Monday to seal the transfer.
Deal nearing €80 million
Italian media reports suggest that both clubs are close to settling on a fee slightly below €80 million. Napoli’s decision to sell comes after Kvaratskhelia declined to extend his current contract, which is set to expire in just over two years. The club was unwilling to risk losing leverage in negotiations and opted to act now.
Conte’s resistance no longer a barrier
Last summer, Antonio Conte played a key role in blocking Kvaratskhelia’s departure. However, with Napoli facing potential financial losses, the Italian side is now prioritizing a sale. While Conte is reluctant to lose his star player, the club cannot afford to jeopardize its financial stability.
