Manchester City have seen another huge offer for Elliot Anderson turned down, with Nottingham Forest refusing to sell the England midfielder for €140 million.

Nottingham Forest have rejected another massive offer from Manchester City for midfielder Elliot Anderson, according to reports from the BBC.
The English champions remain determined to sign the England international, but Forest have once again made it clear that prising him away from the City Ground will not be easy.
Second bid rejected
Manchester City returned with an improved proposal after their initial approach was turned down earlier this month.
The latest offer was reportedly worth around €140 million, including a guaranteed fee of approximately €122 million plus performance-related bonuses.
Despite the enormous financial package, Nottingham Forest decided not to accept the proposal.
If a transfer were eventually completed at the figures being discussed, Anderson would become the most expensive English footballer in history.
The current record is held by Declan Rice, who joined Arsenal for €116 million in 2023.
Anderson wants the move
According to reports from England, personal terms are not expected to be an obstacle.
The 23-year-old midfielder is said to be interested in joining Manchester City and making the move to the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester United were also linked with Anderson, but reports suggest they have withdrawn from the race, unwilling to become involved in a bidding war.
Anderson is currently away with the England national team at the World Cup, but negotiations between the clubs are expected to continue during the tournament.
City searching for Bernardo Silva replacement
Manchester City are looking to strengthen their midfield following the departure of Bernardo Silva.
Anderson has reportedly emerged as the club's preferred target as they search for a player capable of becoming a central figure in the next phase of the team.
Another name linked with City is Sandro Tonali of Newcastle United, although Anderson remains the priority option.
For now, Forest are standing firm, and Manchester City may need to return with an even bigger offer if they hope to secure one of England's most highly-rated midfielders.
