Álvaro Morata has opened up about Cristiano Ronaldo's generosity at Real Madrid and explains why he considers the Portugal captain the greatest footballer of all time.

Álvaro Morata has lifted the curtain on a side of Cristiano Ronaldo that fans rarely get to see, revealing the gifts the Portuguese superstar regularly bought for younger teammates and explaining why he believes Ronaldo is the greatest player in football history.
The Spain international played alongside Ronaldo at both Real Madrid and Juventus, giving him a unique perspective on one of football's most iconic figures.
Speaking on the El Camino de Mario podcast, Morata recalled how Ronaldo helped him during his early years in Madrid and often looked after younger players in the squad.
"I remember when I was young, and we went for pre-seasons, he would tell me what I needed, or we would go shopping," Morata said.
"He would give us an iPad, a mobile phone, perfumes... it was spectacular."
The striker explained that Ronaldo's support extended beyond gifts, although adapting to the standards demanded by the Portuguese star was not always easy.
At the time, Real Madrid were locked in an intense rivalry with Barcelona, and Ronaldo expected absolute focus from everyone around him.
"The first phase was not the same as the second. In the first, I was very young, and perhaps I wasn't used to the demands that a player of his level imposes."
"It's normal that the demand is incredible, but with me he always had exceptional treatment."
Morata's second spell alongside Ronaldo at Juventus strengthened their relationship even further and allowed him to see another side of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
The former Atlético Madrid forward revealed he was particularly impressed by Ronaldo's intelligence and discipline away from football.
"We spent a lot of time together, talking about many things."
"When you go to dinner with him, it's mind-blowing. He understands everything; he's studied a lot of things. He's cultured in all areas of life."
But it was Ronaldo's relentless commitment to his profession that convinced Morata he stands above every other player.
The striker described seeing Ronaldo maintain his strict routine regardless of travel schedules, fatigue, or circumstances.
"You'd arrive from a trip at five in the morning, eager to get home and lie down in bed, and the guy starts doing sit-ups, cold showers, and cycling."
"I can't say he's not just the best I've ever played with, but the best of all time."
Ronaldo is currently leading Portugal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, while Morata faces uncertainty over his future after a difficult campaign in Italy.
Yet despite playing alongside some of football's biggest names throughout his career, Morata remains convinced there is nobody quite like Ronaldo.
