After scoring in Serbia’s 2-0 win over Switzerland, Aleksandar Mitrović looks ahead to the challenge against Spain, aiming to keep up his goal-scoring form.
Aleksandar Mitrović, captain of the Serbian national team, shared his thoughts following Serbia’s 2-0 victory over Switzerland in Leskovac. Mitrović, who scored the second goal, highlighted the team’s strong defensive performance and improved creativity, saying, “Every goal matters. It was a good match, especially defensively. We managed the game well and had several chances. In previous games, we lacked creativity, but tonight we showed strength on both ends.”
Looking forward, Serbia faces Spain in Córdoba in their next Nations League encounter. Mitrović is aware of the challenge posed by the European champions but remains optimistic.
“It will be a tough game against the champions of Europe. We need to be defensively perfect. We showed in our first match that we can compete with them. I hope to continue my scoring streak,” he added.
