Mihailo Ivanović makes his debut for Serbia in a 0-0 draw against Denmark, calling it an unforgettable moment while reflecting on the team’s missed chances in the Nations League.

The Serbian national team played out a goalless draw against Denmark last night in Leskovac, a result that ended Serbia’s hopes of advancing further in the Nations League. With the draw, Serbia finished third in Group A and will now focus on the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, set to begin in March.

One bright spot for Serbia was the debut of Mihailo Ivanović, the 19-year-old forward from Millwall. Ivanović came on in the 82nd minute, replacing Andrija Živković, and spoke passionately about his pride in wearing the national team jersey for the first time.

"This is a day I’ll remember for the rest of my life," Ivanović said. "It’s one of the top three days of my life, and I’m overjoyed. The result could have been better, but this is still a dream come true."

Ivanović reflected on the game, pointing out Serbia’s missed chances:
"We had a couple of great chances in the first half, but the ball just wouldn’t go in. Even in the second half, Vlahović had a chance—I honestly started celebrating already. We were unlucky tonight, but when I came on, I thought we could score. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen, but hopefully, it will in the next game."

Despite the disappointment, Ivanović expressed pride in his teammates and optimism for the future:
"We have a great team. Everyone gets along well, and we played two solid games. I’m proud of these guys and to be part of this group. I think we have good chances in the upcoming matches."

Serbia will resume action in March with the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, aiming to secure a spot in the tournament hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
