Luka Jović scored just one minute after coming on in Milan's 3-1 win over Monza in the "Silvio Berlusconi" trophy match, marking a strong start ahead of the new season.
Serbian international Luka Jović found the back of the net for Milan during their 3-1 victory over Monza in the match for the "Silvio Berlusconi" trophy. The Rossoneri striker, who has taken the number 9 shirt from Olivier Giroud, scored in the 46th minute, immediately after replacing Álvaro Morata at halftime. It took him just one minute to get on the scoresheet.
Jović's goal was a simple finish, following up on a rebound from the visiting goalkeeper and slotting the ball into the net from close range, giving Milan a 2-1 lead.
The other scorers for Milan were Tijjani Reijnders, who sealed the final score, and Pablo Marí, who scored an own goal to give Milan an early lead.
The match also saw a goal from Daniel Maldini, son of the legendary Paolo Maldini, who equalized for Monza.
Milan fans also took the opportunity to welcome new signings Álvaro Morata, Strahinja Pavlović, and Emerson Royal.
Another Serbian international, Strahinja Pavlović, like Jović, entered the game in the 46th minute.
