The Argentine coach has made a somewhat surprising move into international football, taking charge of a team with great potential.
Newly appointed US national team coach Mauricio Pochettino has announced his first squad. Pochettino’s selection doesn’t come as a surprise, as he has picked largely expected players. The Argentine will lead his squad for the first time in ten days when the US faces Panama in Texas. Just three days later, a big derby awaits against Mexico in Guadalajara.
It’s worth noting that the US hasn’t played a friendly match against their biggest rival in quite some time, with the last meeting taking place in 2012.
