Manchester City have announced their squad for the Champions League knockout stage, with Rodri making the list despite his injury and one January signing excluded.
Manchester City finalized their squad for the Champions League knockout stage, with the deadline for all teams to register players passing yesterday. Clubs were allowed to add a maximum of three new players.
Manchester City, who signed four players in the January transfer window, had to make a tough decision. The final squad includes Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Nico Gonzalez, while Vitor Reis, a promising young Brazilian, was left out.
An unexpected inclusion in the squad is Rodri, the Spanish midfielder who suffered a serious injury in the season's opening match. Although his return is unlikely before the final stages of the campaign, City are hopeful he can contribute during the later rounds.
Manchester City will face Real Madrid in the round of 16, with the first leg set to take place in Madrid, followed by the return leg at the Etihad Stadium.
