Villarreal considers signing Luka Jović to bolster their attack, with the Serbian striker eyed as a key target for the winter transfer window.
Villarreal, currently sitting fifth in La Liga with 11 points, is looking to add a striker in the winter transfer window. Despite a strong start to the season, coach Marcelino has expressed the need for more options up front. With Gerard Moreno and Barry as the only natural strikers, much of the goal-scoring responsibility has fallen on Ayoze Pérez, and the club is eager to ease that burden.
The name of Luka Jović has surfaced as a prime candidate. The Serbian striker, who joined Real Madrid in 2019 for €63 million, struggled to make an impact in La Liga. After various loan spells, Jovic moved to AC Milan on a free transfer in 2023, but the Italian club is now exploring options to offload him.
Villarreal sees Jović as a potential market opportunity and has reportedly initiated talks with Milan regarding a loan deal. While Jović is not the only option being considered, he is currently one of the top targets for the Yellow Submarine.
