Luka Jović could join Galatasaray in January as the Turkish club seeks a replacement for the injured Mauro Icardi. Milan may offload Jović to make room for new signings.

According to Italian media, Luka Jović could be on his way to Galatasaray during the January transfer window. The Turkish club is urgently looking for a new striker after Mauro Icardi suffered a severe knee ligament injury, ruling him out for the rest of the season.

The Serbian forward is currently with AC Milan but has found himself on the fringes of the squad. Jović was not included in Milan’s Champions League roster, and his opportunities in Serie A have been limited. Milan is also considering offloading a few players, such as Fodé Ballo-Touré and Divock Origi, to create space for new signings, and Jović could be part of these moves.

Although Milan coach Paulo Fonseca recently stated that Jović is part of his plans, the Serbian’s uncertain return from recent physical issues casts doubt on his future at the club. A transfer to Galatasaray in January could provide Jović with a fresh start and more playing time.
