Legendary German international Lothar Matthaus has once again voiced his criticism of Bayern Munich's transfer policies.

In recent years, Matthaus has established himself as one of the sharpest and most outspoken critics of Bayern Munich's management decisions. His latest comments targeted Bayern's summer transfer window moves, particularly their plans to bring in Jonathan Tah from Leverkusen.

Matthaus believes that Bayern is engaging in a long-standing criticized practice of weakening their competition without a genuine need to strengthen their own squad.

"Bayern doesn't need Tah at all. They are doing this just to weaken Leverkusen. You could see at the European Championship how solid Upamecano can be if you trust him enough. Then there's Kim, Dier, Ito, Stanišić can play central defense, and maybe De Ligt will stay," Matthaus said.
