Lazio has officially secured the services of Arijon Ibrahimović from Bayern Munich on a temporary deal until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder, once considered one of Bayern’s most promising youth prospects, will have a chance to prove his talent in Serie A.
Though the surname Ibrahimović evokes memories of legendary striker Zlatan Ibrahimović, this time it will be Arijon who defends the name in Italian football. The young midfielder already gained experience in Italy last season during his successful loan spell with Frosinone, where he made a strong impression.
After returning to Bayern in the summer, Arijon found himself sidelined, making just a single-minute appearance in the Bundesliga. The move to Lazio offers a crucial opportunity for him to revive his career and showcase his potential at a top level.
The deal includes an option for Lazio to purchase Ibrahimović for a fee between €8 million and €10 million. However, Bayern retains significant control over the player’s future, with a buy-back clause reportedly set at €20 million in case of a permanent transfer.
Bayern insiders still view Arijon Ibrahimović as a future asset, but the loan spell in Italy is seen as a valuable opportunity for the youngster to gain experience and regular playing time in one of Europe’s top leagues.
