Lauryn Goodman revealed receiving legal letters and an NDA request from Kyle Walker and Annie Kilner. Goodman rejected the harassment claims and encouraged others not to be silenced.
Lauryn Goodman recently shared that she received “legal letters” from Kyle Walker and his wife, Annie Kilner, including accusations of harassment and a request for her to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). In a candid interview on the Yours Sincerely Pod with Lisa Andrews, Goodman, 33, discussed standing up for her rights, despite the pressures placed on her to stay silent.
“I’ve been kind of threatened in a different way,” Goodman revealed. “I know that in 2021 and again in 2022, I received legal letters alleging harassment.” The letters arrived as private communications, but Goodman was prepared to make her responses public, asserting her right to defend herself.
“They came not for publication because they probably wouldn’t want anyone to know. But my letters back were for publication. Basically, I said they had no claims, they had no harassment claims,” she explained. She also recounted seeing media mentions of Walker’s legal team allegedly monitoring her actions, intending to “make her publicly embarrassed” with potential civil harassment claims.
Goodman was firm in dismissing the harassment allegations, emphasizing that she’s never faced criminal charges. “Harassment is a criminal conviction, so if I had done harassment, I would have been arrested. And I’ve never been arrested for harassment,” she clarified.
Refusing to be silenced, Goodman also disclosed that Walker wanted her to sign an NDA, which she declined. “So, I don’t harass. I stick up for me and my children; there is a massive difference. I won’t be threatened and told to be quiet. Obviously, Kyle would have liked me to sign an NDA... and I didn’t.”
Encouraging others in similar situations, Goodman advised against feeling intimidated into silence. “For those in situations like mine, you don’t need to be silenced,” she urged. “You don’t need to sign NDAs, you don’t need to feel like you’re doing anything wrong. You can live your life freely.”
Meanwhile, Walker’s marriage with Kilner is reportedly in turmoil, with divorce proceedings underway. The defender has also struggled on the pitch, limited to just eight appearances this season, including only four Premier League starts.
