Juventus player Kenan Yildiz must pay €300,000 to his former agent following a legal ruling by CONI’s arbitration panel over a terminated contract.
The arbitration panel of CONI, chaired by Tommaso Frosini, partially upheld the claims of Carlos Ruiz Casillas, who was represented by lawyer Federico Venturi Ferriolo from LCA Studio Legale. The decision concludes a legal battle between Yildiz and his former representative.
The dispute arose when Yildiz revoked his agent’s mandate before renewing his contract with Juventus, opting instead to have his family represent him. He signed a contract with the Turin club, valid until 2029, without paying the penalty stipulated in the agreement with his former agent.
The panel emphasized the need for clear limits in player-agent relationships to prevent players from unilaterally terminating contracts without valid justification or consequences. Consequently, Yildiz is required to pay €300,000, equivalent to 5% of his new contract with Juventus for the year 2024.
