Jug Stanojev expresses admiration for Partizan's performance under Igor Duljaj but remains hopeful that his former club, Red Star, will secure the league title with Vladan Milojević's guidance.

"This year, Partizan pleasantly surprised me. Igor Duljaj is doing an excellent job this season. Red Star had a bit of a letdown in the first part, but I think that with Vladan Milojević, they will correct all the mistakes from the autumn part and win the title again," says Jug Stanojev, footballer of Spartak from Subotica.

Jug Stanojev (24), a footballer with a unique name and enviable career in Serbia from Spartak Subotica, spoke to Nogomania.rs about his work at Spartak, working with coach Nenad Lalatović, the current standings in the Serbian SuperLiga, and the main candidate for the title.

On the first part of the season in the Serbian SuperLiga and if the continuation of the competition is going according to the club's plan:

"As for the first part of the season, we can be satisfied, in the second part we have two draws and a loss, we are still waiting for a triumph. Our goal this season is the playoffs, and I believe we will achieve that."

On fitting into coach Nenad Lalatović's system and if he had any special requests:

"I fit in well with Lalatović. Since he arrived, I was mainly a starter, now that has changed a bit, so in the last few games, I've been waiting for my chance from the bench, but I'm working hard and training. I hope to find myself in the starting eleven again soon."

On expectations for the rest of the championship:

"We have a quite tough schedule, but that will definitely not stop us. We know what our ambitions are and will give our best to achieve them."

On the transfer to Spartak and describing his episode at TSC:

"In the summer, I was a free agent after my contract in Topola ended. Then people from Spartak contacted me, I saw room for improvement and decided to join the team. I spent three years in Topola, there were ups and downs, which is normal in football. I changed four coaches and I can say I learned something from each one."

On looking back at his time with Grafičar:

"My period in Grafičar helped me a lot to affirm myself as a player. That transition from youth to senior football is very important for every young player, Milija Žižić helped me a lot in that."

On the best coach he has worked with:

"I wouldn't single anyone out, every coach contributed to my progress."

On which football leagues he follows in his free time:

"Besides our league, I mostly follow the English Premier League."

On the current standings with Partizan, knowing he grew up in Red Star:

"Partizan has really pleasantly surprised me this year. Igor Duljaj is doing an excellent job this season. Red Star had a bit of a letdown in the first part, but I think that with Vladan Milojević, they will correct all the mistakes from the autumn part and win the title again."

On Serbia's group in the EURO and his expectations for further progress:

"The group is not easy at all, the quality of our national team is not in question, but only if the guys give their all, we will achieve a result," concluded Stanojev for Nogomania.rs.
