Harry Kane received the prestigious “golden cap” for his 100th appearance for England.
Believe it or not, England is currently playing in the second tier of the Nations League, but so far, they’ve had no trouble. A few days ago, last year’s Euro finalists (following Gareth Southgate’s departure) defeated Ireland away, and on Tuesday, they secured a 2-0 home win against Finland.
Both goals for the Three Lions were scored by their captain and jubilarian, Harry Kane. This match was particularly special for Kane, as it marked his 100th international appearance, for which he was awarded a special cap.
The “golden cap” was presented to Kane by former England legend Frank Lampard, who received the same honor years ago.
