Jermaine Jenas puts his luxury £4.95m London home on the market after BBC dismissal and split from wife Ellie.
Former England international Jermaine Jenas has reportedly placed his luxury family home on the market following his BBC dismissal and separation from his wife Ellie.
The former Tottenham midfielder is believed to be selling the property in Barnet, North London for around £4.95 million.
The impressive six-bedroom residence includes some luxury features such as an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, private gym, cinema room, and a large playroom for the family.
Jenas bought the property in 2006 for approximately £2.8 million and lived there with his wife and their children during the height of his television career.
The couple ended their relationship in March 2025 after more than a decade of marriage.
The breakup followed a turbulent period in Jenas’ professional life after the BBC dismissed him from his broadcasting roles.
The former footballer reportedly earned around £190,000 per year from the broadcaster through appearances on programs such as The One Show and Match of the Day.
The corporation terminated his contract after several complaints about his workplace conduct. During an internal meeting with senior executives and human resources staff, he was confronted with messages sent to female colleagues.
Following the decision, the BBC removed his presence from several online platforms and also took down a mural featuring him at MediaCityUK in Manchester.
After the scandal became public, Jenas issued a public apology.
"I am ashamed and deeply sorry," he said at the time, while insisting he had not committed any illegal actions.
The former midfielder also admitted he had lied to his wife during a family holiday when the controversy first emerged.
His wife, Ellie, later confirmed their separation through a message posted on social media.
"After 16 years together and four wonderful children, Jermaine and I have decided to part ways. We will remain friends and continue to co-parent," she wrote.
The couple married in 2011 and share three children: daughters Geneva and Olivia, and son Jacob.
Despite the personal and professional setbacks, Jenas has begun rebuilding his career.
He recently launched his own production company and returned to broadcasting with an appearance on talkSPORT, where he told listeners he hoped to move forward as a better person.
