The Japanese national team is in absolutely spectacular form in their quest to qualify for the World Cup.
Japan is already a football powerhouse in Asia, but their results in the ongoing World Cup qualifiers have left even their fellow Asians speechless.
So far, Japan has played nine matches in the qualifiers, and their stats are as follows: nine matches, nine wins, and a goal difference of 38:0!
In the history of World Cup qualifiers, no national team has ever achieved such stats in their first nine matches. The latest victim of Japan’s incredible form was Saudi Arabia, who lost 0-2 at home.
In the first stage of qualifying, Japan easily defeated all three opponents (North Korea, Syria, and Myanmar), and in the second stage, they added another 14 goals against China, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
