Manchester City 3-0 Nottingham Forest
Manchester City has broken their winless streak dating back to September with a commanding performance against Nottingham Forest. Central to their success was Kevin De Bruyne, who silenced his critics with a brilliant brace.
De Bruyne opened the scoring in the 8th minute, heading home a precise cross from Bernardo Silva. He doubled City’s lead in the 31st minute, capitalizing on a clever pass from Jeremy Doku. Doku himself added a third in the 57th minute, finishing off a swift counterattack with a composed strike inside the box.
The victory provides a much-needed boost for Pep Guardiola’s side as they prepare for their upcoming Premier League clash with Crystal Palace and a high-stakes Champions League match against Juventus.
Southampton 1-5 Chelsea
Chelsea continues their impressive Premier League form under Enzo Maresca, securing a dominant win against Southampton. The Blues took an early lead when defender Axel Disasi scored with a header from an Enzo Fernandez corner. Although Joe Aribo equalized for Southampton in the 11th minute, Chelsea quickly regained control.
Christopher Nkunku restored Chelsea’s lead in the 17th minute with a simple tap-in, followed by Noni Madueke making it 3-1 before halftime with a composed finish inside the box. Cole Palmer added a fourth in the 75th minute, and Jadon Sancho sealed the rout with a late goal to make it 5-1.
The win marks Chelsea’s third consecutive Premier League victory, propelling them to just below the top of the standings.
