Injured Barcelona striker Ferran Torres joins volunteers to help clean up flood damage in his hometown of Valencia. The community lauds his act of solidarity.
Barcelona’s Ferran Torres may be out of action due to a groin injury, but that didn’t stop him from making a difference off the pitch. Over the weekend, the Spanish forward took time to join volunteers in Valencia to help with the cleanup efforts following the devastating floods that recently hit the region.
Torres, who was born in Valencia and came up through the youth ranks at his hometown club, felt compelled to support his community during this difficult time. The 23-year-old made his senior debut with Valencia CF before transferring to Manchester City in 2020 for a reported fee of €35 million, and he later joined Barcelona.
The act of solidarity has drawn widespread praise for Torres, who remains committed to giving back to the community that helped shape his career. While unable to contribute on the field, his actions off it show his dedication and character.
