Fenerbahçe board member Acun Ilicali confirms the club’s interest in Al Nassr’s Talisca, with negotiations reportedly progressing well. The Turkish club is strengthening to challenge Galatasaray for the title.
Fenerbahçe is stepping up its transfer ambitions as the Turkish powerhouse confirms interest in Brazilian attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca, who currently plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. The 30-year-old, who previously played in Turkey for Beşiktaş, is now being pursued by Fenerbahçe in an effort to bolster their squad and dethrone archrivals Galatasaray in the Super Lig.
The interest was officially confirmed by Acun Ilicali, a Fenerbahçe board member, Hull City owner, and investor in Slovenian club NK Maribor. Speaking about the potential transfer, Ilicali said:
"It’s true, we want to bring Talisca to our team. Negotiations with Al Nassr are ongoing, and personal terms won’t be an issue. However, he’s not yet a member of our club."
Talisca, known for his creativity and goal-scoring ability, has been a standout player for Al Nassr over the past five years. His experience in Turkey, where he enjoyed success with Beşiktaş, makes him an ideal target for Fenerbahçe as they aim to reclaim domestic supremacy.
Fenerbahçe, under the leadership of newly appointed manager José Mourinho, is currently enjoying a strong season but trails defending champions Galatasaray by three points. Both teams are in exceptional form, setting the stage for an intense title race.
Looking ahead, Fenerbahçe faces a challenging week. They will visit Beşiktaş in a crucial Super Lig clash before traveling to Spain to take on Athletic Bilbao in the UEFA Europa League. The club hopes that landing a marquee signing like Talisca could provide the spark they need to finish the season on top.
