Federico Dimarco, Inter Milan's left-back, recently appeared on an Italian show hosted by Alessandro Cattelan, where he opened up about his journey with the club, his relationship with Romelu Lukaku, and the realities of pre-match preparations.
Born in Milan, the 25-year-old expressed immense pride in representing Inter, a club he's been associated with since his youth. Despite multiple loan spells at clubs like Ascoli, Empoli, Sion, Parma, and Verona, Dimarco's heart always remained with Inter. Reflecting on his time away, he credited Croatian coach
Ivan Jurić, currently at Torino, for playing a pivotal role in his return to Inter after challenging periods, including injuries.
When quizzed about the possibility of engaging in intimate activities before matches, Dimarco humorously remarked, "We're in training camps before games, so that's impossible." The defender, who boasts 107 appearances and nine goals for Inter, is contracted with the club until 2026 and is valued at €45 million by Transfermarkt.
On the topic of Romelu Lukaku, Dimarco expressed disappointment over the Belgian striker's departure to Chelsea and subsequent loan to Roma. "Lukaku disappointed me. We were close all season. I don't want to delve into details as he's now with another club. Yes, he'll play against us, and we're excited as always," said Dimarco.
Italian media had previously reported a strain between Lukaku and Inter, suggesting the forward was exploring offers from other clubs, even as Inter hoped to secure him permanently from Chelsea.
