Damir Mišković, president and owner of Croatian vice-champion Rijeka, has revealed that several foreign investors are seriously considering buying the club. He insists on maintaining or improving the current level of management.

Damir Mišković, president and owner of Croatian vice-champion Rijeka, has been trying to sell the club for a long time. It seems that he is now closer than ever to achieving this. He disclosed that several foreign investors are seriously considering purchasing the club.

"Potential buyers are conducting in-depth analyses of the club"

"We have potential investors. I was in America, then in Dubai and Germany. Potential investors from there are conducting in-depth analyses of the club. There are no offers yet from any of them, but they are interested. My condition is that whoever takes over the club manages Rijeka at least at the level my family and I have, or what I want, which is to elevate it to a higher level. But if the level drops below mine, I'm not interested, even if the sale brings in millions," Mišković said.

"Rijeka employees have nothing to fear from a change of ownership, but they must prove themselves"

"Only investors who will maintain or raise this level are being considered. All of them would like me to stay with the club initially. They wouldn't change any structures in Rijeka; they are satisfied with how things are done, especially since we have a project to improve the youth academy. Employees in Rijeka have nothing to fear if there is a change of ownership. They will be secure for the first six months to a year, but during that time, they must prove themselves to the new owners. All potential investors are impressed with how well the club is organized at all levels," Mišković told Kanal RI.
