Cristiano Ronaldo has been named one of the key ambassadors for Saudi Arabia’s flagship football project—the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

Saudi Arabia secured the hosting rights for the 2034 World Cup unopposed, marking the second time in 12 years that the world's biggest football tournament will take place in the Middle East.

To promote the event, Saudi Arabia has enlisted its most influential figures, with Cristiano Ronaldo, the biggest star in the Saudi Pro League, leading the campaign. Ronaldo took to his social media platforms to express his excitement about the nation hosting the tournament.

"Saudi Arabia’s World Cup bid is a great inspiration for young footballers, and I was delighted to meet children who dream of welcoming the world to the 2034 World Cup," Ronaldo wrote.
