Spartak Moscow's 2-0 win over CSKA Moscow was overshadowed by a violent on-field fight involving Serbian defender Srđan Babić and Brazilian player Willyan Rocha.
The highly anticipated Moscow derby between Spartak and CSKA in the Russian Premier League took a dramatic turn in the 57th minute when a brawl erupted on the pitch. Spartak’s Serbian defender Srđan Babić, also a member of the Serbian national team, reacted aggressively after a harsh foul by CSKA’s Brazilian player Willyan Rocha on a Spartak teammate.
The situation escalated as Babić grabbed Rocha by the neck. Rocha attempted to retaliate, striking Spartak’s Litvinov instead. This triggered a mass scuffle, with punches, shoves, and clashes among multiple players. The altercation left Babić bloodied, visibly showing the intensity of the confrontation.
Once the commotion subsided, the referee issued red cards to Rocha and Litvinov for their involvement in the fight. Additionally, Spartak players Babić and Umjarov received yellow cards as a result of the incident.
