The turmoil at Valencia CF continues as the latest shareholders' meeting descended into chaos, lasting just 10 minutes.

Over 200 shareholders gathered at the Mestalla stadium, only for the session to be cut short by loud protests and chants directed at the club’s management.

Valencia, a club once graced by Slovenian star Zlatko Zahović, has struggled both on and off the pitch in recent years. The team is currently at the bottom of La Liga, fans have lost faith in the leadership, and owner Peter Lim has been trying to sell the club without success. The latest debacle highlights the widening rift between the management and its stakeholders.

The gathering, attended by 243 shareholders, began with chants from the stands calling for Peter Lim to step down. The chairman of the board, Laykhun Chan, was labeled a liar by angry participants. The situation quickly escalated, forcing the meeting to be suspended after just 10 minutes.

The agenda items were then put to an online vote as the management team deemed the behavior of the 190 protesting shareholders "unacceptable and tasteless."

Valencia’s board of directors later expressed regret for the events, blaming the loud protests for disrupting what was supposed to be a productive session. However, the vast majority of attendees participated in the chants, underscoring the widespread dissatisfaction with the club’s current state.

Valencia’s problems are not limited to shareholder unrest. The team’s poor form has left them battling relegation, and fans have grown increasingly frustrated with Peter Lim’s ownership. The lack of direction, both financially and on the field, has left the club far removed from its glory days.

The incident at the shareholders' meeting adds another chapter to Valencia’s ongoing struggles, highlighting the urgent need for change to restore the club's reputation and competitiveness in Spanish football.
