Como caused an upset in Serie A by defeating Atalanta.
Cesc Fabregas, still early in his coaching career, already has a big win under his belt. He led Como, a newcomer in the league, to a surprising victory over Atalanta in an Italian Serie A match yesterday!
After falling behind in the first half, Como came out strong in the second, scoring three goals in just 12 minutes—thanks to Gabriel Strefezza, an own goal by Kolašinac, and a strike by Fadera.
"We played a good game, created a lot of chances, and put pressure on the opponent," said Cesc Fabregas after the match.
The win over Atalanta was particularly meaningful for him. "We prepared and hoped to do something against one of the best teams in Europe. This is a Champions League team. A win like this will boost our confidence," said the former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder.
In their first five Serie A matches, Como has collected five points and currently sits in 15th place.
