Riccardo Calafiori is just a few details away from completing his transfer from Italian club Bologna to London’s Arsenal. The Premier League club will have to pay around 50 million euros for him, while his salary in England will be a handsome 4 million euros per season.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Arsenal will pay precisely 53 million euros to Bologna for the young defender, with the player already agreeing to personal terms with the Gunners.
Calafiori is expected to sign a contract with the London club until the summer of 2029, with the official announcement of the transfer expected next week.
Bologna made significant waves in the last Serie A season under the guidance of manager Thiago Motta, surprisingly yet deservedly securing a spot in the elite Champions League.
