Angel Di Maria plans to return to Rosario Central for six months before moving to Inter Miami to reunite with Lionel Messi.
It appears that the Argentine veteran Angel Di Maria will indeed return to his hometown club, Rosario Central, but only for a brief stint before transferring to Inter Miami.
The Argentine veteran will part ways with Benfica, where he made 48 appearances this season, contributing 17 goals and 15 assists. Considering his age of 36, these are impressive numbers, and the Rosario-born winger has no plans to retire just yet. It has been speculated for some time that he would return home this year.
These rumors have gained momentum. Portuguese media report that Di Maria will join Rosario Central this summer, but only for six months.
In the winter, he plans to move to the USA to join Inter Miami and reunite with Lionel Messi, whom he knows well from the Argentine national team. The MLS season ends in December, so Di Maria would be ready for the start of the new one.
