20-year-old Slovenian striker, Benjamin Šeško, holds the record for most goals scored by a player born in 2002 or later in European national teams
Slovenian national team striker, Benjamin Šeško, boasts an enviable achievement. Šeško is a generational talent, the likes of which, especially in terms of strikers, Slovenia hasn't seen much of in its entire history.
At just 20 years old, Šeško displays the potential to become the best striker in the history of Slovenian football. Despite his young age, he already has an impressive national team career, scoring seven goals in 22 appearances.
Jacek Kulig, a renowned online 'scout' with 277,000 followers on Twitter, highlighted a statistic that underscores Šeško's exceptional talent in relation to his age. Kulig emphasized that no other player born in 2002 or later has scored more goals for a senior national team.
As mentioned, Šeško has netted seven times. Trailing him by one goal is Manchester United's 70-million summer signing, Rasmus Hojlund. In third place is Icelandic player Andri Gudjohnsen, who has scored four goals for the senior Icelandic national team.
