Lionel Messi, the world-renowned footballer, has not only made a significant impact on the field but also in the real estate market.
His recent move into a new villa has led to a surge in property prices in the surrounding area.
Lionel Messi took his time selecting the perfect villa for his family, initially staying in a luxurious apartment in downtown Miami. His final choice was a villa in the suburb of Fort Lauderdale, valued at $10.5 million. This property boasts a 30-acre yard, ten bedrooms, two yacht docks, and a swimming pool, epitomizing luxury living.
Messi's arrival in the neighborhood has caused a ripple effect in the local real estate market. His first neighbor, Patrick Bet-David, has reported receiving regular offers to sell his property. He states that the value of his real estate has increased by $25 million solely because of its proximity to Messi, arguably the world's greatest footballer of all time.
The area where Messi has chosen to reside is a closed community with a single entrance, known for its safety and exclusivity. Since Messi's move, there has been a noticeable increase in interest from potential buyers and tourists, further driving up property values.
"Ever since Messi moved next to my house, everyone wants to buy a house in this part. We are a closed community, with only one entrance to the island. We are a very safe neighborhood, and I hope it stays that way. Since Messi is here, boats with foreigners constantly come to view houses and show interest. According to today's prices, my house is more expensive by about $25 million. Everyone wants to live here," said neighbor Patrick Bet-David.
