In a humorous twist to the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers, 18-year-old Jude Bellingham, recently signed by Real Madrid for £103 million, ended up on the wrong bus after England's 1-1 draw with Ukraine.
The young sensation was quickly redirected by the bus driver, adding a lighthearted moment to an otherwise tense match on Tuesday night.
The match itself, held in Poland due to ongoing geopolitical tensions, ended in a 1-1 stalemate, with goals from Manchester City's Kyle Walker and Ukraine's Oleksandr Zinchenko. However, it was Bellingham's post-match faux pas that stole the headlines.
As players from both teams were exiting the stadium, Bellingham, who had been a key figure in England's midfield during the match, mistakenly boarded the Ukrainian team's bus. Eyewitnesses reported a sense of bewilderment but also amusement among those present.
The Ukrainian team's bus driver was quick to spot the misplaced midfielder and gestured for him to disembark. Bellingham promptly corrected his mistake, exiting the bus and making his way to the correct vehicle after receiving brief directions.

The incident has since gone viral on social media platforms, with fans and pundits alike sharing their amusement. "Even world-class talents can have everyday mix-ups. It adds a human element to the sport we all love," said one Twitter user.
Both teams will be looking to improve their standing in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, with England facing off against Poland and Ukraine taking on Sweden in their next respective matches.
