Gennaro Gattuso is a candidate for the new coach of Lyon.
Laurent Blanc is leaving Lyon after losing a match against PSG (1:4). The French giant is already looking for a new coach, and owner John Textor has sought advice from one of the most influential agents in the world, Jorge Mendes.
The Portuguese represents several coaches. His clients include Sergio Conceicao, who manages Porto, Aitor Karanka, Bruno Lage, who leads Botafogo, Nuno Santo, who works in Saudi Arabia, the unemployed Julen Lopetegui, and of course, Roma's coach Jose Mourinho.
Among Mendes' clients is also Gennaro Gattuso, who is currently without a job. Therefore, the Italian is a candidate for Lyon. Gattuso last managed Valencia and has previously led teams like Napoli, Milan, Pisa, Crete, and Palermo.
Other contenders for the Lyon position include Oliver Glasner, Julen Lopetegui, Thiago Motta, Graham Potter, Will Still, and several other coaches.
