This summer, Fulham lost Aleksandar Mitrović, and his replacement is the grandson of the famous Serbian footballer Dragoslav Šekularac, Kristijan Šekularac, who is developing his skills at the London club.
Kristian Šekularac was born in London 20 years ago and grew up in Switzerland. He holds a Swiss passport and has progressed through the youth ranks. He joined Fulham last summer from Juventus.
This is the club that once wanted to sign his grandfather, Dragoslav Šekularac, during the Yugoslav era. Gianni Agnelli wanted to bring Dragoslav to Turin, but the move was blocked by the state.
The Serbian national team still has the opportunity to call up Kristian, as long as he doesn't debut for Switzerland's senior team.
His paternal grandfather is Mirko Šekularac, a former footballer for Red Star Belgrade in the 1960s and the younger brother of Dragoslav.
