The leader of a six-member group arrested with drugs in Thessaloniki is Živko B. (40), a former footballer of the Marakana club.
A busy day for the police! Greek authorities have arrested a six-member group allegedly found with 324 kilograms of cocaine in Thessaloniki. The main member identified is Živko B. (40), a former footballer of Red Star, as unofficially confirmed to "Blic".
Alongside him, the arrested individuals include A. M., N. P., S. Š., M. S., and S. S., suspected of forming a criminal association for committing offenses in conjunction with the unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotics.
The suspects are believed to have formed an organized criminal group during 2020 and 2021, operating in South America, Western Europe, Greece, and Serbia. Their aim was to purchase and transport large quantities of the narcotic drug cocaine via transoceanic ships from South America to Western Europe and Serbia, intending to distribute it and gain substantial illegal financial benefits.
This organized crime group allegedly bought, transported, and held for sale 324 kilograms of cocaine, from Ecuador to the port in Thessaloniki, Greece, where the said drug was seized by Greek police.
The suspects have been detained by the police and, following a criminal complaint, will be brought before the Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime.
