Belgian international Yannick Carrasco has officially become a member of Al Shabab in Saudi Arabia.
In Saudi Arabia, the transfer window has not yet closed, and the 'exodus' of European football stars to this country has not stopped. The next player to depart for a substantial sum is Belgian international Yannick Carrasco, who has already arrived in Riyadh, where he awaits the final formalities before signing a contract with Al Shabab.
Carrasco will sign a three-year contract with Al Shabab, and Atletico Madrid will earn approximately 15 million euros from his sale.
Carrasco is joining a team with a much more modest squad composition compared to clubs like Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, Al Nassr, or Al Ahli. The biggest stars of the team are Strasbourg arrival Habib Diallo and former Sevilla star Ever Banega.
Yannick Carrasco is, for the second time in his career, venturing into a country where financial prosperity abounds. At just 25 years old, he surprised many when he left Atletico Madrid for China, and after the decline of Chinese football, he returned to Madrid, biding his time for a move to Saudi Arabia.
